Born in Kagawa Prefecture in 1974.

After working abroad for seven years as

a Japanese language teacher,

she won the 11th

“KONOMYS AWARD Hidden Gem”

with “Konkatsutou-Senki”

and made her debut in 2013.

Her book “The Lantern of lost memories”

（人生写真館の奇跡）to be

published in 2019, has been accepted for publication in 29 countries around the world

and won the Gold Prize in

the Foreign Language Translation Division

of Book of the year 2024 in Hungary.

Other major works include

the “Yanaka Retro Camera Shop Days” series

and the “Delivery Service from Heaven” series.

She is a camera enthusiast and

is also active as a writer for camera-related media.
